Will it affect our next generation ?
I am jain, i love one girl from our caste ,her mothers family surname and my mothers family surname is same?
now i was was not knowng her untill i met her , she is not related to me , yet everyone is sayng it will be like brother sister marriage! also people talk about genetic problems due to blood relation . we dont dnt know in which generation we were related ! so how can we be blood relatives? please help me out

You are a Jain, it means your are basically Hindu by religion. In order to marry any girl you should not be within the degree of prohibition relationship or Sapinda to each other as provided under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. Having common surname does not mean that you are contravening any of these conditions. The conditions regarding degree of prohibited relationship is based on the blood relationship between the two parties to the marriage to prevent genetically problems in future generations, so until & unless you two are covered under the various relationships named under the degree of prohibition you two are safe legally as well genetically to marry. How can you two be brother & sister until it is specified by looking the details of your relationship whether you are covered under the degree of prohibition? If you are covered under the degree of prohibition then only you can be said to be brother & sister & the genetical problem arise due to blood relationship not otherwise, what all tell you here are neither legal experts nor medical expert. The Hindu marriage act allows marriage between third generation cousins on the mothers side and 7th generation on fathers side. And I personally believe this to be sufficient gap genetically
So I dont see any problem with your case...go ahead and claim your love :-)

Just because your last names are the same doesnt mean you are related.
Look at how many patels, guptas, khans & other indian family names there are.
They marry one another. If you love her marry her, unless your family name is very unique & only goes back a few generations. Then id say figure it out.
Since you are in india, if you are thinking of marrying her. Your parents might not come to the wedding & might refuse to accept her/you after the marriage & your kids also if they are stubborn.

I am also a jain.having the same sur name is not a problem at all.who told that to ur parents.ask them to contact any pundit who know jainism...yes,if ur gotras are the same its considered to be bad.else its absolutely fine.I being a digamber know that.dont know bout ur sub division..in digambers in the north a jain and a jain are a preferred match..any one can vouch for it.the same gotras are not considered auspicious in many families though.my entire family is of jains married to jains and we do not have any such problems in the entire family of 50 odd couples.from both maternal and parental sides.

That's why i'm going for interracial relationships,..but in your case if you are asking this question it's because you have some doubt. I would suggest going with your first instinct and just not going there because...there could be complications later!!! --good luck..
