I'm wondering because Square Enix has remade 1-6 for Nintendo, but not the rest of the main games. Are they not allowed to?

I know the series is owned by Square Enix. I'm asking if Sony holds exclusitivity rights over 7-13

you need to remember, FFVII was the first FF game that was beyond the capabilities of the snes. granted, the DS could support VII through IX, and possibly X, but why would they? everyone already HAS a ps system, so everyone can already play those games

but no, sony has no rights whatsoever over the final fantasy franchise. the system was the system of choice, mostly because of its popularity (again, pretty much everyone has a ps system)

and i'm sure you're going to point out that many of the earlier titles were also on PSx systems, but they also existed in cartridge form first, and several people of my age bracket felt as though the games changed and the load times were obvious
