at airports for national security, for busting illegal immigrants in the workplace, to catch criminals, and for crime prevention?
I can't think of a reason not too! So some people may experience a little extra attention from cops or airport security. It's not like the cops stopping you and asking you a few questions is a violation of your rights. Don't you think keeping this nation safer for it's citizens is more important than political correctness?
That includes racial profiling for any and all races, religions and/or nationalities; including white men!

You're saying moony, that we should continue to stop 80 year old black or white women at the airport gates; when we know beyond a doubt they will never ever hi-jack a plane? All the while trying to avoid security from stopping young mid eastern men, the MOST likely to hi-jack a plane, all in the name of political correctness?

Cantcu, I agree that the employers are committing criminal acts and should be punished severely for using illegal workers. I don't agree with you that ICE shouldn't try to crack down on deporting illegals.

If the preponderance of violators, criminals if you will, are from a specific ethnic group, then it only makes sense that you look at them more closely than some old grannie in a wheel chair.
I have traveled a lot, and after the ACLU went on a warpath about TSA, I saw many instances of people just strolling through security that I would have done a secondary screening on, while many older people that you knew where absolutely clean were getting pulled over. It was pretty stupid.
If you suspect that people who are going to partake in terrorist activities to be from middle eastern background then you had better do a good job of looking at all people from a middle eastern background, and people I know from Iran and Lebanon will tell you they agree 100%. Looking at old white women is STUPID>
If you are a police officer in a high crime area, and 90% plus of the crime in that area are from a specific ethnic group, then you had better be looking at them hard, because that is where the criminals are. ANyone who argues against this for any reason is just plain stupid.

I think the police should use whatever "profile" fits the crime they are protecting against.
80 year old's, of any color, don't commit either terrorist acts or crimes in general. But young men steal the most cars. If I was looking for car prowlers, I'd use that "profile" in eliminating the other 75% of the population, and only talk to, or stop, young men driving around the neighborhoods most frequently victimized.
If I had reason to think the most likely suspects were black, or green, or blue, in a particular crime, such as gang violence, I would be looking more closely at folks of that color, as suspects in that crime.
It's absolutely PC run amok to NOT use whatever "profile" you have when looking for the criminal.
Arabs make up nearly 100% of all the terrorists who have come to the U.S. looking to commit horrendous acts. That's a fact, Jack. I most certainly would look more closely at men of a certain age from the middle east around international airports. We'd be blind morons NOT to.
And, apologies all around if YOU fit the profile, I say, but we can't ignore a profile either.

Profiling uses to be considered management by exception. It was a very efficient way to manage. Today the Buzz words have changed. Those that want to do harm know the Buzz words to manipulate the people & uses them shamelessly. We are becoming sheeple.
It is sadly funny the Left says think outside of the box then slaps those that don't agree with them down for their actions.

I think they should. We know the type of people that could be a threat. Right now they are patting down kids and old ladies! That's really dumb!
The problem comes when cops can't ask KNOWN illegals their immigration status. That's wrong!

Yes you're right. And some of the profiling should be done on groups people are affiliated with too such as the white supremists groups who cause so many problems. Now those are known threats and should be monitored closely.

So you really believe profiling could happen to white men? Like too many, you may be living on a cloud, man. Not to put too fine a point on it, but that racial profiling idea is straight out of Mein Kampf.
The U.S. became strong by believing in principles like "equality" and "innocent till proven guilty." This is not the time to dump basic foundations that the U.S. was built on.

Ever heard of racial profiling when a white man gets stopped and harrassed in a prodomantly black neighborhood? No and you won't either. It's a fact of life except for the ones we as Americans have accepted as the cry babies of the world.

It is used! Going into workplaces to search with no probable cause is unconstitutional, and most of the criminals are their employers who use them as slave labor on government contracts!
We don't need the Gestapo!

of course racial profiling should be used... it is just plain common sense... I mean, how blind do we need to make ourselves in the name of PC before we care about innocent people?
And believe me... to everyone who does not think they "profile" they are full of crap. People do it every day... they do it according to who they want to associate with... or who they want their kids associating with and so on...
Profiling does not mean you arrest, or think everyone that fits the profile is a criminal or terrorist... it means you use extra caution. I would rather offend someone for a brief moment to prevent telling a hundred families that there loved ones won't make it home to them.
Finally, how do they think we catch murderers, rapists and terrorist..... WE PROFILE FOR PROTECTION PEOPLE!!!
