I first met him at work (he was my boss). I was not interested in him at the time, but he told me a couple of years later that he had his eye on me from day one...and was not happy about me taking a teaching job somewhere else.
I took a job at the local college and ran into him again a year later. I was walking out of my office and he was walking up the hall. I opened the door and ran smack into him. July 17th will be 7 years...

actually, I met my husband on a telephone chat line... and NO, I'm not joking. haha.
He had a message posted and I listened to it and responded. We have been together for 10 years now but just got married a year ago. Things are great, and the only reason we had not got married sooner is because we could NOT find a place that we absolutly loved!!
We finally found a place, mill springs mill in kentucky, and it was a perfect out door wedding!! :)
I think as far as what approaches work best is based on individuality. Most people do better in public, upbeat settings, some people do better in low key settings, and some people do great in bowling alleys or theme parks. LOL
go to a theme park find someone there with a bunch of guys (no gals in their group) and ask them to go on a roller coaster with you cause you are scared, I promise you, you will get a few phone numbers!! just always say "that was great, we should do this again sometime!" lol I know, its cheesy, but I swear it will work, I have a friend who found her hubby that way, they've been married 21 years. LOL

Oh my lord do you really want this one lol, I had just found out that my divorce was final I had been with the same and only man for 5 years, and I wanted to see what the big deal was about a one night stand, somehow when I got to the bar extra late cause I wanted to look cute there were only 2 seats left in the whole bar, so my friend that is black sat beside the black man and I sat beside the white man.. He was the worlds biggest dick head, he was rude to me all night and I was rude back to him.. We exchanged rude words for several hours before he drug me out to dance, which he was hot so hell why not lol.. Then a few more shots later he picked me up and carried me out of the bar because I kept telling my friend I was ready to go.. Yeah he was supposed to be a one night stand, and it was great that night and well we are married now and that great sex never stopped, and the love is just wonderful.. It is that cant eat cant sleep kinda love.. He is a great man, and I would not see life without him...

My fiance and I met in high school. He was in 10th grade and I was in 11th. I walked into my speech class and all 6'4 of his tall lanky teenaged self was folded into this tiny desk. He was not exactly good loooking, and I can't explain it but I fell in love immediately. We became fast friends, and 1 week later I broke up with my b/f of 2 years because I loved Mike so much. I was the captian of the XC team and he ran for us. We were friends until March of my Sr year. I had kinda become a close family friend. I got on his parents good side b/c I had an extra ticket to a Toby Keith concert and I asked his dad's permission to invite mike , and that impressed them. Mke wasn't supposed to date till he was 18, but my senior year, he was 16 his dad gave him the go ahead. We had spent the weekend together, since I was a family friend I stayed at his house all the time, his sister and I are about 4 years apart in age so she and I would do stuff all the time, and have sleepovers. We were driving home from his grandmothers and he said under his breath, "I'm such an idiot" Being the good friend I was, I was trying to pry it from him. I drove around his neighborhood for an hour and a half till at a stop sign he said "You're a realy good friend and I dn't want that to change" So I pulled over to a park, and one hour later he finally asked me. After a whole bunch of "ummm....I think I'm readys" He was so cute and pathetic. And I was the happiest woman in the world. Now, 3 years later, we're finally engaged and getting marreid next may. He was my first and only kiss, and I can't wait to marry him. He's perfect

Honestly? In the Sacramento, CA airport. It's a long story, but he's from Wisconsin and I'm from Cailfornia. We met 12/31/2005 at 11pm, and were married 1/1/07. It's been wonderful, and I couldnt be happier.

I was trying to make a u-turn and my clutch (stick shift) pulled out so when i pressed the gas instead of going I stayed right where I was. Next thing I know, I hear braking and before I could turn I was hit and dd a 360 degree turn. It was a pretty bad accident. T-boned. I crawled out of my destroyed piece of metal and looked up at a man approaching and I SWEAR we were both going to curse eachother out and instead we locked eyes and stopped. My first thought was "Wooh,...HE hit me?" He was so handsome and having big strong arms... the ambulence came and all that and we literally flirted at the scene while the police took our information and reported everything. The last thing I said to him was "I hope this isn't the last time I see you." I'm thinking the next time I see him is in court....10 days later he called ...(he got my number through the police report) and the rest as they say is HISTORY. FEB 10th at about 10:30 pm 2005....lol!! What a way to meet huh??

Ha, I love this question. It was a fantasy camp for people that want to be clowns. They teach you the art of clowning for a week, and then the last night, you do a big clown show at the local minor league baseball team's park. After working together for a week, I finally asked her where she was from, and it turned out she lived about an hour drive from my house! We started dating, and now, 9 years later we are still together, and still clowning as much as ever!

My college roommates boyfriend. We're all musicians and he knew this "guy" who played guitar. We all got together at our place one night and the "guy" was really cute. His roommate came along, also a guitar player, also very cute, and proceeded to pick on me all night. I thought he was annoying. We kept ending up at the same social functions and he got less annoying. He started asking me out. I had sworn off dating for a while and kept saying no. This went on for a couple months until I realized how much me made me laugh and how comfortable I was around him. We finally started dating. We moved in with each other 3 months later. We got married 3 years later. We're married 15 years now and he is still cute and annoying! We have 4 kids and we have an amazing life. We laugh daily and he still chases me....life is good.

in a barn! Not a bar, a barn. My cousin had a barn she'd rent for parties, I'd come on down and get in for free in exchange for cleaning the place up later. My wife was in a music club that met there on fridays. I saw her one friday and the next I walked in there and she basically grabbed me and pretended she knew me bcuz she was sitting at a table & 2 ugly guys were trying to pick her up. We went home together that night and every night from then on, 24 years and 3 weeks ago.
