You can not compare the Viet Nam war with Iraq. The basis for "war" is completely different. The Viet Nam war had nothing to do with oil...it had everything to do with communism. The war in Iraq is totally different, yet, as deluded as the war in Viet Nam. Both wars were led by misconception from the beginning, but for different reasons.

The Iraq war is another Viet Nam only because it is a losing situation. The war in Iraq is now a civil war which can not be won through US intervention, it will be a perpetual war between two different ideologies that have existed for a thousand years or more. God bless our soldiers, please send them home safe and sound.

Vietnam was was not for oil , but as the same time , yet had no effect because where USA lost the war had use the MAX arm force ever could 've be used , that was American people wish not arm force to pull out the young mans

It never would have started (besides, the Democrats did that one). It was the Republicans under Nixon that did the cut and run in a war that was all but won. Funny how the parties keep changing roles - if one party is for it, the other is against it. Ideals, logic, and reason have little impact.

h**l no!probably US would just nuke North Vietnam if they figure that they couldn't win the war cleanly.hey...its okay to nuke other country to save ur soldier's lives (hiroshima and nagasaki )
