repeatability and reproducibility?

Question

Any1 can tell me that how often we need to do the Gauge R & R study? Once half a year or once every 3 months?Pls help,thank you.

Hi Depends on your quality plan, but at least one R&R before the gage is used on a production part and another one after any adjustment/repair to the gage. Also depends on how the variation compares to standard deviation. A marginal gage may need closer control.
