It's not a good idea to keep any fish in a bowl. Your black goldfish might be a black moor. These should get around 8-10 inches as an adult. He'd be a lot happier in a 20 gallon tank that has a filter.

Hard to say without seeing it.
Bowls are not really a good idea, If it's a goldfish they are very messy fish, lots of waste, which means lots of cleaning. A Siamese fighter is a better option.
You need something like a 20L bowl to come close to having a happy fish. Esp a Goldfish. This way you can have a small plant to help with oxygen too.

Only few little fish will survive living in a bowl. It's like you living in a little closet. If this is a fan-tailed black telescope,black-moor, it needs a 20 gallon tank at least. As it grows,so does its need for space.

The only fish that can do okay in a bowl is a Betta, but it is better to have it in a tank with filtration. Goldfish produce large amounts of excrement, so they will quickly pollute their bowl's water.

nicely, no longer something. No fish can stay in a bowl. All fish want a perfect sized aquarium it extremely is cycled with a clear out (and a heater in the adventure that they are tropical, or in case your section receives extremely chilly in iciness).

Bowls aren't the best environment for any fish! not even beta's! get a 5 or 10 gal tank and that would be the best place of it to be happy and healthy

most likely not, goldfish produce way too much waste and get way too large to live in a bowl. very few fish are suitable for bowls.
a picture would defitinitely help, is there any way you can take a picture of the fish?

Fish bowls are cruel, I suggest you buy a tank, or give the fish to a fish shop.
