Why?. If you've got caught by a premium rate text scam text back "STOP ALL" (capitals, no quotes) and uk providers must stop. Otherwise discuss with your supplier. Generally text is useful. If you are being bullied by text it is a criminal offence, police, school authorities &c should help as will the phone companies

deleting message centre number will not stop you from receiving texts, only stop you from sending them.
contacting your service provider is a possibility. alternatively change your number!

go to text message options then detele the number in the message centre number. then you won't get msgs.
second option call yuou service provider and tell them you don't need the txtx msg service.

with most companies it is a feature or a block they must put on the account like a code for administrative text only or txt block. you must call your providers customer care or go to a local corpoprate store. hope that helps.
