If you meant f(X) = 2x^2 -3x +4 , then replace the x's in the function by (-1)'s to get the answer. Take note of what (-1)^2 becomes..

f(x) = 2x^2 - 3x + 4

f(-1) = 2(-1)^2 - 3(-1) + 4
= 2(1) + 3 + 4
= 2 + 3 + 4
= 9

if by this you mean

f(x) = -2x^2 - 3x + 4
f(-1) = -2(-1)^2 - 3(-1) + 4
f(-1) = -2(1) + 3 + 4
f(-1) = -2 + 7
f(-1) = 5

unless you mean

f(x) = 2x^2 - 3x + 4
f(-1) = 2(-1)^2 - 3(-1) + 4
f(-1) = 2(1) + 3 + 4
f(-1) = 2 + 7
f(-1) = 9
