I actually really like this name. I like both Holly and Hollie. I always think of a free-spirited, natural beauty when I hear this name. I guess I especially have a fondness for Hollie because I used it as a name for one of my characters in a creative writing piece. If you wanted something with a twist, you could consider Holland or Hollis with the nickname Holly.

It would also be neat to use Holly if the baby was due around Christmas/Winter time.

I've always liked the name Holly, right from when I was young. I'ts a great name. The only thing I can't think of is how it should be spelt, obviously Holly and Hollie come to mind straight away.... but if you wanted to be creative, here are all the ways it could be spelt that I can think of (each with the "ee" sound on the end):

1) Holly

2) Hollie

3) Holley

4) Hollee

5) Holleigh

6) Hollei

7) Hollea

My neighbor's name is Holly, I find it very pretty. Her full name is Holly Marie, for Holy Mary, which might be a little extreme for your religious views, but its still pretty, in a way. I like it. Some pretty middle names:
Holly Marie (lol)
Holly Nadine
Holly Alexis
Holly Bridgette
Holly Kimberlea
Holly Aleah
Holly Madeline
Holly Caroline
Holly Elizabeth---I like this one
Holly Briaunna

To you it may be pretty, short and easy, but to me, I have this thing with unusual names, the more unusual the better. Holly is not too common when I meet people but it exists! In addition, this may mean that its a perfect choice to name a baby. I Also,I like to express myself as we were speaking to each other right now. Here me out this way, YES, I see this name with a reminder of being holy, to a child name holly so maybe if you feel your a spiritual person, you don't have to be though, but You are the mother or some day become a Mother, I pray so. A mother means your the protector, the one to love and guide her, or him, with directions when this angel of yours slips and can't get back up! Hopefully, some day when your angel goes on its own, she/he will look back when you fall down and can't get back up on your own because you shown that power of strength and love.

I know A LOT of Holly's... I can think of 9 of the top of my head... and if I sat down and listed Holly's that I know, I would have a ton more. It's way too overused and common.

pretty nice.... I have a friend named Hollie, and i prefer that spelling because i think it kinda seperates it from Holly as in the plant... and also i think it looks prettier spelled that way
