I saw a pic of Walker laughing after getting swept by the Bulls. Do these players really care about winning? They were out energised, out hustled and the Bulls just wanted it more. Was it all a case of motivation?

I know what ur gonna say, they won it last yr, there getting paid big bucks, but what about us fans? I hate it to see that and what about Arenas carrying on when his team is about to get swept? Id hate to be a Wizards fan.

Yes, they do care about winning. Pat Riley is one of the best motivators in the game and he won't allow half-hearted players to step on the court. But let's face it, the Heat are an aging team. Wade is hurting while the other players themselves came off injuries and aren't 100 percent. I can't say the Bulls are hungrier, but they're just too excited and, as you said, energized to be in the playoffs that they're letting it all hang out. Obviously, the Heat were caught by surprise and just found themselves in a 0-3 hole. You can't fault Walker for I think he's just as surprised as the rest of the team. They just couldn't do anything right.

I'm sure they wanted to win, but when you look at a Shaquille O'Neal team typically they don't come back from a series in which they are down. His history as a basketball player doesn't speak volumes about his leadership when his teams are being challenged. Look at this...

1994 swept by Indiana in 1st Round.
1995 swept by Houston in NBA Finals.
1996 swept by Chicago in East Finals.
1997 beaten 4-1 by Utah in West Semis.
1998 swept by Utah in West Finals
1999 swept by San Antonio in West Semis.
2003 beaten 4-2 by San Antonio
2004 beaten 4-1 by Detroit in NBA Finals
2005 beaten 4-3 by Detroit in East Finals
2007 swept by Chicago in 1st Round.

It's amazing that as long as O'Neal has been around that he has been on 6 teams that has been swept in the playoffs, and on two teams that won only one game in the series. I think it speaks volumes about his motivation when his teams has been challenged.

It seems that everything has to be perfect for O'Neal to put forth more of an effort to gather his teammates together when they are down in a series.

To me the great ones have that ability to get others to follow when all seems to be lost. Miami is done for now!!!

Of course Miami wanted to win....i don't know of a single player in the NBA who don't want to win. Miami had a lot of problems that they could not overcome. Especially, DWade getting hurt. That was a major blow to this team and he has never really recovered from his injury.

the WHOLE point of the NBA is to win the championships.

do u expect them to lose the game and get really pissed and mad? then they will be fined.
