I went to PetCo and Petsmart, they are wanting like $200+ for a 29 gallon acryllic fishtank.

This seems pretty high to me, I see some places on the internet advertizing 49 gallon tanks for the same price... but none of them seem to have 'mail order' or 'internet order' just through their stores...

Anyone have any ideas on places on the internet I can order a fishtank in the 150$ range? Gonna be using it for fancy goldfish so 10 to 15 gallons per fish.

Wow! That is a lot for a 29 gallon. Try Meijers or Wal-Mart. They sell complete set-ups (tank, filter, heater, lights, etc.) for all different size tanks. I bought a 55 gallon kit at Meijers for about $140. The matching stand cost me $75.

Online, you could check out eBay. Shipping prices will be high because of the weight. Also, you could look at craigslist for something in your area you could pick up.

Definitely try WalMart - they have a 29 gallon (glass) kit for about $100 that includes hood and filter.

You can find plenty of places to buy online, but the shipping cost will be enormous because of the weight of the tank. See this website - look under "aquarium" then see "Specialty Items" and "glass aquariums" on the left side: http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/index.web

It would be better to find a local store that would carry what you want (or would special order it for you) to cut out the shipping.

Craigslist!, if they dont have one you like immediately post a "wanted" add. I did this and within 24 hours i had 6 emails about people wanting to get rid of their brand new fishtanks (with all the extras) very cheap and sometimes free. Also try ebay, but find something local so you can pict it up cause shipping is too expensive.

Def Craigslist.org... I got crazy deals on fishtanks I could never dream of affording on there. They don't do shipping, but even if you have to rent a u-haul, you can save a ton of cash on there.
