Vowing to Veto any bill that is going to stop his precious war, without even seeing it. Is that enough evidence for the people out there that he does not care what goes on...as long as he is profiting one way or another?

Mr. Boof I am not a Bush hater...I am a hater of this war. I already lost both my father and my brother in this war....I only have one brother left and I wish to see him alive and well asap. Bush has personal grudges against Iraq for obvious reasons including what dates back to his father's presidency...then came a perfect time where he was in power and decided to abuse every bit of it. Whether it is for personal satisfaction or for oil as others say...he is the only one gaining while we are losing precious american lives for no reason. The fact that he won't even consider reading over a bill tells you that he really DOESN'T CARE about our troops.

I absolutely agree with you.
George Bush is a fickle hearted idiot that made it into the White House by sheer luck. All he cares about is what's coming directly to him. All a balanced budget is to him is a number without a negative on the Federal account summary.
He doesn't care about human rights, women and children's rights, or rights, period. He wants to be a dictator. Someone will probably have to explain to him in 2009 that he has to move out of the White House.
So... to sum it down; I absolutely hate the man. We couldn't have a bigger idiot for a President, even if Gulliani gets it.

If you give a time line to leave then you lose. Why? Well most will stop fighting and wait. They will start recruiting and planning. Once we are gone they will take over and all our soldiers have done will be lost. People now a days wait everything now. Microwaves are not fast enough. It takes time to establish a government. Look at history. The US took over 7 years to be established.
Some things are no brainiers …. If you like sports let’s take basket ball. It came about by some guy nailing a basket to a wall. After a year the game was changed because they didn’t like having to get a ladder to retrieve the ball. They then made a hinge for the bottom of the basket. It wasn’t until 6 years latter that it was established that the bottom of the basket could be open. Seems like a no brainier.
The fighting that is happening now (car bomb and people strapping bombs to themselves) are their way of fighting. They do not have enough soldiers. If they were to all get together and fight on a battle field they would be destroyed. So they strap bombs one soldier at a time and blow themselves up hoping to take as many people as they can.
I know and understand strategy. I can tell you if we leave it will be only empower them.

I DON'T KNOW what the brouhaha is all about.
I know from the start that this President is completely inept and incapable of good leadership.
I am not even surprised that the attack on Sept 11th occured during his watch, 8 months into his Presidency.
He was in a honeymoon period in his job and he was enjoying all the perks, no time to worry about any terrorist threats and alerts.
Security was the last thing on his mind prior to Sept 11th,
But there's even more bad news ahead.
Convincing the congress that Saddam had somehow something to do with the attacks.
So they go to war in Iraq without any proper back up plans and reconstruction plans.
What is worse is that, until today, the Bush administration has not put any of the recommendations by the 911 commission into effect.
Cargo is still coming to America completely unchecked.
It is time for a change.

He already knows that the Dems are putting a time line on it. I can see by the wording of this question that you are another Bush hater. You can't be in a war and broadcast to the enemy when you are going to call it quits - it emboldens them and puts our troops at greater risk. And tell me, how is he profiting? You seem to know everything, so please enlighten me. All in all, he's doing a good job. The only thing I don't like is his stand on illegal immigration.
The official policy of the US was a regime change in Iraq dating back to BJ Clinton. And do you think it's OK for a foreign power to attempt to assassinate a former US President, regardless of who it is? I'm sorry you lost your brother and Dad, but I still firmly believe that Saddam had to be taken out.

He is the greatest (albeit, the *only*) U. S. President of the Twenty-first Century!
I thank God, frequently, that neither Algore, nor John Kerry (who, by the way, served in Vietnam), were elected as President! Of course, if "Slick Willy" had paid attention to "Affairs of State" instead of his *own*, illicit, affairs, America would not have had to experience 9/11!

Congress is trying to bully the U. S. President. It's that simple. Democrats want Pres. Bush to look as bad as possible. They don't really care about the war. They don't really care about a stable Iraq or terrorism. The only thing they care about is getting themselves more power in the United States. That fact is obvious and undeniable. As it is the troops are severely undermanned. A very significant increase in manpower is needed to get the job done. Anything else is a joke and nearly hopeless.
If you aren't going to do a job, then you shouldn't start it. Congress started this with the President. Now they want to humiliate him. They should stick it out and take responsibility for the job they helped start. How would you like it if I agreed to fix your tire and left before the job was done?

That which is obtained by force must be maintained by force. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Only the truly wise do not seek to exercise such power--nuff said about Bush.

That, and his use of signing statements to ignore laws on his own whim, should be more than enough to impeach him. No American is above the Constitution; no American willing to ignore it is fit to serve as our Commander in Chief.
