The Yankees have PLENTY to deal for Dontrelle Willis. These idiots who say the Yankees have no farm system, and have nothing to trade should do some research before making their stupid comments. The Yankees have two of the top prospects in baseball, including the top pitching prospect in Phil Hughes who won't be 21 until June, and outfielder Jose Tabata who won't be NINETEEN until August and was awesome in big league camp this spring. Baseball America ranked the Yankees 27th among farm systems two years ago, and now ranks the Yankees fifth, I'd say that's pretty good.

In a deal the Marlins would want at least three of the top prospects and maybe a pitcher like Scott Proctor who a lot of teams want. The Yankees have that now, but I wouldn't do it.

The Yankees will not get Dontrelle Willis unless he hits Free Agency.

the correct answer is, no amount could pry Dontrelle WIllis from the Marlins. They are a team built around youth, they have plenty of young players and would never pursue a trade.

The Yankees don't have anything to offer in exchange for any other team's ace and/or franchise player.

Get real.

Probably 2 or 3 prospects and a nice big check

it makes no difference, if the yankees want him (or anyone else for that matter, can you say bobby abreu?) all they have to do is open the checkbook and outbid everyone else. sad but true, baseball sucks *** because of this.
