Clothing style? Music? Movies? TV shows? Life in general? Anyone feel like sharing?

(I've just been feeling sick all day and I feel liked being brought back to better years.) =)

My wide collection of Garbage Pale Kids trading cards. Learning the dance moves to Rhythm Nation. Watching Just The 10 Of Us, Hogans Hero's, and Family Ties. Righting numerous love letters to Joey McIntyre from New Kids on The Block and Kirk Cameron from Growing Pains.

I remember wearing slap bracelets and tying my shirts on the bottom. I remember wearing leggings under denim skirts and lace gloves like Madonna.

I remember when we used to leave the doors unlocked a night time and it was safe to play out until dark.

I remember when I thought Atari was the best technology in the world and when MTV played music videos.

I remember when my sister and her best friend shaved the sides of their heads and tried to look and dress like Billy Idol. I remember when my sister put a Motley Crue tape inside my Teddy Rupskin.

I remember sleeping with my 'Pillow People' and my Glo Worm.

I remember the music videos, we sued to tape them and watch them as a family. We also watched Solid Gold together, and The Greatest American hero, and other great 80's shows.
I remember the music, and how it was more "carefree" seeming.
I was a kid in the 80's so I remember the cartoons too, like The Smurfs, Gem and the Holograms and Thundercats.
We had My little Ponies, LiteBrite and a Wood Burning Set.
The clothes weren't the best, and the blue eyeshadow was soo funny.
Remember the time of the flourescent clothes? hehehhe I had a flourescent pink wrist band! and lets not forget the BIG hair!

hope you feel better

Ronald Reagan...

The economy was so good that McDonalds couldn't find people to work. They were desperate and hiring at $8 per hour in 1987. How much would that be in today's dollars? I don't know for sure but McD's hasn't raised wages THAT much. People had good paying jobs and a reason to hope.
They were great years for living!
Too bad congress spent so much money, and drove the national debt up.

I enjoyed the fashions and music and had a lot of fun. I fell in love with my current husband and got married in 1989. Nice memories.

TV shows sucked. movies could have been alot better, but i love the music and that crazy style. i was born in '86, but i just love 80s music like Blondie, pat b., Cyndi l., Micheal j., Janet j., Elton j., journey and the other great songs and artist. alot of one-hit wonders but man i love 80's music. the classic songs that u can still listen to on the radio today. two words....... MOLLY RINGWALD!!!!! when Madonna was untouchable and want to be #1. now i am like wtf happened to her!!!!! she sucks, she used to be so awsome in the 80s and 90s.
