What kind of "better?" No, not better. I am an indigo and I can say, we indigos have completely different things to do. Let the crystals be crystals, they have thier own vital work to do, and so do we. Although, I will point out that while crystal children are pretty powerful they have a lot of weakness when it comes to being exposed to some of the things you find in the world.
Moving on.
Indigos like you and me do often exhibit abilities that are uncanny, but know that all people have them. We are just a bit better-suited to accepting those abilities and allowing ourselves to connect with them, which makes us ideal teachers of important wisdom for the future.
However, we don't just have powers. It is more like, indigos are more likely to be intuitive, to sense others' emotions, to heal people, to remember past lives, to communicate with entities and spirits etc. I believe that, again, this is because we are naturally more accepting of these things so they come more naturally. That doesn't make us better, though. Don't get full of yourself.
I am a very spiritual person and I practice wizardry or magick as it can be called. However, I actually learned how, I wasn't just born with it.
So you could easily develop many abilities due to your natural understanding and acceptance, but you aren;t a superhero. All the same, if you find you can do anything unusual that is normal and it is cool, have fun with it!
Best of luck.

The "Indigo Child" thing is ridiculous nonsense. It started as an attempt by New Age parents to relabel antisocial behavior in their children as some kind of "special" spiritual endowment. Now it's just an excuse to legitimize arrogant, selfish behavior. And there are no superpowers involved whatsoever. There is nothing magical, nothing supernatural. That's all wishful thinking.
The Crystal Children thing is just the latest knock-off from the same old idea. It's the same crap, different package.
Here's some advice: forget the Indigo Child thing. Stop trying to be special and just be yourself. Being yourself is special enough.

No,you are not an "indigo child"because "indigo children" are just the stuff of fictional new-age stories created by psychic and fiction author Nancy Anne Tappe back in the 1970's.

I think the whole indigo thing is a way to label what people have been doing for years, we were just afraid to say anything.
Anyone is capable of working with the alternate normalcy they just choose not to or are clueless.
If you need a label, Indigo is a pretty nice one..mystic and mysterious but you are just a human being trying to evolve =)

1. As a crystal person, I'll have to go with no.
(There is no "better" aura color -- just different. Each has it's own particular set of strengths and weaknesses.)
The theories about indigo and crystal children were first put forth by Barbara Bowers in 1989 and built upon by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober a decade later as the characteristics became more widely recognized.
2. Carroll and Tober describe Indigo children by ten defining characteristics (none of which have anything to do with magic):
1) They come into the world with a feeling of royalty (and often act like it).
2) They have a feeling of "deserving to be here," and are surprised when others do not share that.
3) Self-worth is not a big issue; they often tell the parents "who they are."
4) They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without explanation or choice).
5) They simply will not do certain things; for example, waiting in line is difficult for them.
6) They get frustrated with systems that are ritually oriented and do not require creative thought.
7) They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and in school, which makes them seem like "system busters" (non-conforming to any system).
8) They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind. If there are no others of like consciousness around them, they often turn inward, feeling like no other human understands them. School is often extremely difficult for them socially.
9) They will not respond to "guilt" discipline ("Wait till your father gets home and finds out what you did").
10) They are not shy in letting it be known what they need.
There are a whole laundry list of attributes that have been given to indigo children, but none of them are proven (and most of them are sheer stupidity) Check the Wikipedia link to see them.

2. if you are indeed an idigo child, you would know the answer to this question.
do a google search on indigo children...there is a great school you might be able to go to, to be with other kids like you, and to learn about your "talents."
