Be prepared to allow alot of time to shave until you get professional at it. I did this for awhile but it was taking me about 35 to 40 minutes to shave without slicing my face like bacon. Very nice close shave but you don't want to do it when you are sick, shaky, hung over or without you glasses or lenses . I got an old razor from my barber. I still use a shaving mug and soap and a brush my dad got from the Fuller brush man in early 1960.

Since I retired though I grew a beard, Just do my neck now and then.

The shaving lather can be found at a Wal-Mart in the beauty section (health and beauty aides) along with the shaving brush and a holder for it as well. just go down the shaving aisle. the cup you could just purchase either in camping or in housewares. as for the straight razor it could be purchased in a beauty salon supply store or just go online. however if you buy it online make sure to clean, disinfect, and sharpen it.

Why?Those things HURT the new ones don't cause as much bleeding! :) (You are much less likely to slit your throat with the new ones too a distinct advantage I think.)
