The United States is a very greedy nation. We do whatever in the world possible to make ourselves as individuals financially rich.

However, we're a nation that gives a lot into other nations. Though, they might not always be wise investments, neither is one that can make you financially wealthy.

So, we're a fickle minded nation on this topic, but for the most, we are very greedy.

Well they are 5% of the population making 25% of the greenhouse gas emissions. They pay their CEO's much more than anywhere else, but the workers far less. They have enormous spending on defence but have the highest rates of child poverty in the first world. They do not have free health and education for all like most countries (first world).

So I am not sure what word you would use - but there is a case that would support one claiming they are greedy.

Like every nation the US persues foreign policy goals which will benefit the country that pursues them. All nations work for what they think will benefit them the most. This is oneof the reasons for the EU, it gives smaller European states the chance to complete in golobal markets and gives them a currency as stronger, last time I checked, than the dollar. It also increases intra-European trade, which benefits member nations.

Well in US we have 5% of the total population of the world.

But we consume, waste and pollute like 90% of the world.

That is some thing to consider.

Equality, Freedom and Justice for all.

The US is not a greedy nation on paper but in actions all are directed to exploit the natural resources of other countries just like the oil in the Middle East, trees in Canada and natural resources in South America.
