I do it because at times I think I am the only one who understands me. Then when I talk to myself I realize I dont even understand myself.
So I guess that makes me crazy...crazy cause I keep doing it.

We all talk to ourselves. Most of the time we do this inside our heads - in private. Sometimes we do it out loud. In any case, talking to one's self is a part of our normal reasoning process. We all need to think things out and talking helps. The difference between the sane and the not so sane is they can recongnize when it is appropriate to talk to one's self and when it is not. If it's a contact voice running through your head that you can't control, well, that's another story. But, no, if you have to ask if you're crazy you're clearly showing that you recongnize your own behavior and you're normal like the rest of us. Hope this helps!

I think we all hold conversations in our own minds constantly, even though most of us don't say them out loud. Thinking is really the process of talking with ourselves.

I think it's normal. You are verbally rehearsing your thoughts, which requires organizing them. You are also testing them out on yourself to see how they sound to the ear.
I've seen a lot of otherwise rational looking people talking to themselves, and see people in cars talking to their steering wheels. More people do this than admit it.

I talk back and forth with myself sometimes(when there's nobody around to think I'm crazy lol). It just helps me decide what to do.

you are probably not crazy ,,you are just having a mental
conversation with yourself ,,some very noble people of great contributions to society were known to have somewhat of a conversation with themselves ,,however one must be aware that they are having a conversation with oneself
