Should NZ Police be able to shoot a dog that has attacked someone? Or should they have to be put down by a vet

If, in their opinion, the dog poses an immediate threat to themselves or the public, they're empowered to put the dog down by whatever means necessary.

they should be able to shoot it. if a man had a knife and was attacking they have a right to shot him.a dog has teeth that they can rip a person apart.

Method of death is not really an issue.
