Well like my wife said in here, we want to name her after me, Kent and ist our 1st child together and my 1st daughter. Also, I was named after the greatest man I ever knew my father Kenneth who suddenly passed away last year. So, to me the Ken will stay in it masculine or not.

Well Kensleigh Makenna would not work. Our first daughter is Makenna.

We were going for the Kensleigh since my husband's name is Kent. I do like it spelled better Kinsley or Kynslee. I have also considered Annalise as a first name.

I am actually pregnant with my first daughter and her name will be Kynsleigh Grace. I absolutely LOVE Kynsleigh - the name itself, the spelling, etc. I am not a fan of common first names, so that's why I picked out Kynsleigh as her first name! I agree with another poster who said that "Kensleigh" appears a bit masculine because of the "Ken" at the beginning. But, I also understand your reasoning for giving her the name with the spelling you've chosen.

So, to answer your question, I love the name you've chosen! And, again, I am spelling it differently, but it's a personal choice! Enjoy your baby girl! Can't wait until my Kynsleigh is here! Just a few short weeks to go for me!

Annalise is one of my favorite names. Not too sure about Kensleigh...if you go with that one, Kinsley is maybe a better spelling (Less emphasis on Ken...or the possibility she'll be called Kenny [South Park anyone?])

I think I like them in reverse much better - Annalise Kensleigh.

The problem with Kensleigh (regardless of how you spell it) as a first name is that it has no obvious nickname!

Annalise, on the other hand, has Lise, Ann, Anna...

I think it's beautiful. Also, it's easy to understand - I understand reading it the first time. Parents don't seem to understand how important it is that the name be EASY TO PRONOUNCE! My sister's name - Havalah - is like handing people a Dr. Seuss book! I think I like Kinsleigh better though, because "Ken" looks so masculine in such a feminine name. Or possibly Kynsleigh..?

I like the sound of the name, but not the spelling of Kensleigh. It's too much. Kinsley or Kensley are unique enough...why make it more complicated...and honestly, less cute and less feminine? But that's just my opinion. Enjoy naming your baby, and congratulations!

I would like it if it was a simpler spelling like Kinsley. Annalise is a bit of a mouthful but it's not awful with all those "n" sounds and syllables; you could consider Anna, Alisa, or Elise instead. I like Kinsley Alisa.

It's ok and I understand your reasoning to include your dad's name, I lost both my parents and plan to incorporate their names as well. Why not try McKenna as a first name? Kenna, Kensie, Kenzie, Kena? I like McKenna myself. Second, I hate the name annalise, that is the Barbie princess from the one movie and it's just too corny. Also, if you are having a long first name, make the second one clean, not so long. What about McKenna Brooke? McKenna Mae?

I really really like the first name it is not comman and it is long which is nice the problem with all the new names is that they are all so short.
You should think about Kensleigh Mackenna
