Was it a good move for the Raiders to give up Randy Moss to the Patriots?

The Raiders have a new head coach . Randy Moss was unhappy and he was not giving his best effort on the field so I believe it is a good deal for both teams. If you are a new head coach, the last thing you need is a disgruntled football player. There is also Warren Sapp and a few others so it may be when they come to the mini-camp later in the week if they do not show up like the last time there might be some changes made.The drafting by the Raiders did give an indication that the organization is going to make changes wherever it is necessary.

Yes definately. I'll bet you anybody who said it was a bad move did not watch any raider games last year except the arizona game. The guy is getting paid 10 million dollars a year and he says "im not playing well because im not excited". Shutup and do your job. When you are getting paid to run and catch a ball, dont say ur not doing it because you aren't excited. This guy would jog on half of his routes and wouldn't jump and make catches that he is fully capable of. It was smart because they dont want to give 10 million dollars to someone who doesn't play. They didn't give up randy moss. They dumped him. If he was that good, why would only the packers and patriots be interested. If he was that good, im sure more than 2 teams would be interested.

NO!!! I'm not a Raider fan, but I love football. The Raiders have gone through difficult times with argubally the best receiver in Moss. Moss wanted to win and between him and winning was a sub-par coach and less than stellar QB. Well the Raiders replaced the coach and drafted the argubally best QB in the draft and before seeing if the puzzle was complete, they get rid of Moss. The ideal thing was to at least give this new formula one season to see if the Raiders will become winners again and too see if the changes would make for a happier Moss. And also they hurt themselves by trading Moss to a team which now more than before will keep them from advancing in the playoffs. They joined together the best WR with the best QB not only in the football but in their AFC Conference. This will bite the Raiders.

Yes - Randy will go to a place which will not put up with his BS and Russell's ego won't be compromised by an ignoramus like Moss. Win-win situation for both teams.

NE doesn't need Moss anyway but could always use him as bait to get a higher draft pick in the future.

They had to get rid of him. Kinda like the Steelers letting Porter walk. They didnt need a guy that would challenge the new coaches authority. They should have tried to get more for him or atleast traded him out of the confrence. Moss wanted to go to the Pats if I was Al Davis I would have sent him to the Lions in that trade, just for him being an asshole.

they really didnt have a choice they didnt get much from him but it frees up cap space and removes a big distraction from the team but the Patriots got the better part of this deal by a mile.
