I have a D-Link Wireless-G Print Server. I had it all set up, but then, I tried to change its IP from the default 192.168.0.10 to 192.0.0.0, and it no longer works. I can't access it from my browser, as I used to be able to, and, for whatever reason, the reset button is not restoring the factory settings. What should I do?

You have to press and hold the reset button for about 30 seconds. If that doesn't work, try powering it off, then press and hold the reset button and then plug it in and wait about 15 seconds.

Don't set your IP to that address again. It's not in the private IP range nor is it addressable.

Second of all, did you change your computer to be inthe 192.0.0.X range? If you didn't, there's no way you could communicate with the router no matter how hard you banged your head against your monitor.

To reset the print server follow these steps.

1) Push and hold in the reset button.
2) Remove the power from the unit while still holding in the reset button
3) Count to 10 and plug the power back into the unit,
4) release the reset button.

That should put it back to factory defaults.

the 192.0.0.0 is not a valid IP for a private network. The print server must be in the same IP range as your router and other computers in the network or it will be impossible to communicate with it.

If your router is 192.168.0.1 then the only number you need to change is the last number. That can be from 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.255 since the router is using the 1st address in that range. Also remember not to use a IP address that is already assigned by DHCP.
