ABSOLUTELY! I read somewhere recently that 70 or 80 percent of Americans consider themselves Christians. If that is the case, they will vote for the black woman (unless she is Athiest as well). From my experience with religious people, they generally care more about their religion than the color of one's skin. Electing an Athiest is much more frightening to a religious person than electing a black woman.

It's a shame that society has to stereotype due to color or sex. Society needs to vote for what they have investigated on the candidate and what their issues are for improving our country's well being. Hillary has some great ideals and issues for the better but Obama has his own beliefs and ideals also. The only reason I see that Obama might not make the Presidential seat is not so much his color but because he's just too new. He means well and I like his views on some issues but he's a new face and I don't think he'll make the grade because of this, not so much his race. I think he needs more experience. Hillary on the other hand has had the experience not only because she was the "First Lady" but because what followed afterwards in being the Senator. She has had the experience and she's a fighter and a believer and a go getter. Now I have to admit that the Presidential seat has alway's been a "white male figure" which I feel we need a change from this catagory. We need to ask this question: Is there prejudice in our government so much that they would stop a woman or black candidate for entering the White House. After you have answered that question then your question will have an answer. And why I'm saying this is due to the voting calculations that took place in Florida. Get my understanding? Imagine that!

When filling out a job application, religion was never asked of me.
I don't see how religion can determine qualification or ability.
In some ways, I think we'd be better off with an athiest.

There aren't any black women running, so that 1 is out at least for this cycle. I doubt if an avowed atheist could win.

Pretty much...There are atheists in the US, but the majority are particular to believing in God...and there are women such as Condoleezza Rice who are popular in the US, although it remains to be seen if she would have enough support to be President.
