Find the volume of the cylinder to the nearest cubic unit: Use 3.14 for pi.
The cylinder's radius is 4 inches and the heighth is 6 inches!!

V = Bh

B = area of base = pi * r^2 = 3.14 * 4^2 = 3.14 * 16 = 50.24

h = 6

V = Bh = 50.24 * 6 = 301.44 = 301 in^3

volume = pi*r^2*h

Look at it this way, first you calculate the area for the circle base, then you multiply that by the height for the volume.

So
Area=(3.14)*4^2=50.24 square inches

then
volume=area*height
volume=50.24*6
volume =301.44 cubic inches

pi*radius^2*height= 3.14*16*6= 301.44 cubic units
