How would you respond to a Palestinian who said he wanted all Palestine back? And reminded you that it was taken away from him by terrorism?
Maybe he would open a Bible and show you from Judges 1 that his ancestors were there before the Israelites arrived.
In the 20th century, they were there before the militant European and American Zionists arrived. The Sabra Jews had lived there at peace with the rest of the Middle East until then.
As the new kid on the black, isn't it up to the new Zionists to introduce themselves to the neighborhood politely and make themselves acceptable as good neighbors?
Why should the Palestinians be expected to "deserve" being in their own country?

The Palestinians do deserve a homeland. The so called state of Israel was created by western superpower after the war. But sadly the Palestinians where pushed aside.
No consideration was taking into account about the Palestinians people. Well the one thing the Jews learnt after the war from the Nazi was how to treat the Palestinians.

Ahhh, yeah............ They had one until the UN created a place for the Jewish people as reparation for the Holocaust. 97% of the land was owned by Palestinians and 3% by Jewish. The UN gave 52% of the land to create a Jewish state if Israel, and 48% was retained by Palestinians. But since the split Israel has taken more and more land.

1. Who are we to decide?
2. What about the Christians in Palestine? Don't they deserve to be able to vote in thier own state. They have no rights in Israel. The only elected Christian delegates i know of are in HAMAS

I am always amazed at the insightful brilliance that attacks the world's problems here at Y!A...it's a wonder everything isn't sweetness and light yet.
In my old age, I find I am becoming a fan of world government after all...and I think the solution for America is assimilation. Sure, let's give the Palestinians their own state...and then annex it.
It would be religiously conservative...to suit the Republicans, and abjectly poor, to suit the Democrats (and make Alabama look good).

NO!!!!!!!! They deserve to be booted out of Israel. Does anyone remember the 1972 Munich Olympics? It was Palestinian terrorists that kidnapped and murdered the Israeli athletes, and we gave Arafat the Nobel Peace Prize. Arafat held the world for ransom for years. He extorted millions of dollars from the rest of the world to "help" the Palestinians. Where's that money? In 1948 the U.N. tried to give them a state but the rest of the Arab nations (Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and so on) said no. Personally I'm of the opinion that we should join forces with Israel and wipe them out before they wipe us out. Of course that probably makes me a racist, but then again I didn't fly 2 airplanes into the World Trade Center and crash another airplane into the Pentagon, so at least I'm not a terrorist either.

If they weren't fighting Israel for Palestine, they would fight Egypt and Jordan, which historically this belonged to. the election of a Hamas candidate did not help their cause; who is violently vitriolicly Anti-Zionist, I don't know if the Palestinians are willing to be happy; one way or the other.
