On a bus going to school, listening to the radio. I remember at frist the raido host was thinking it was a small plane but then sppke about what he saw on the news and said this doesn't happen on accident. I watched the coverage of the incident at school for most of the day and was frsutrated as hell because this stuff keeps happening, especially in the past few years with Embassies in Africa and The U.S.S. Cole to name a couple. I was sickened by the news personnel who were trying to interview the emergency responders walking around at ground zero W?T?F?
Saddly I see little evidence that we have learned anything, Never Forget?

I am a 911 Telecommunicator in the suburbs of Chicago. I was at work training someone when the attacks happened.
We started getting alot of calls asking what was going on.
At the time we shared a building with a fire department and they were watching it on TV, I left the room during a slow period and saw the 2nd tower collapse live.
Usually at night there is alot of air traffic because of O'Hare and Midway airports being east of us. For the few days that planes were grounded it was unbelievably quiet at night, although occasionally you could hear military jets flying overhead.
And for weeks after that we got alot of suspicious package calls because of the anthrax mailings. Scary times for many.

San Francisco. I had fallen asleep on 9/10 with the TV on, woke up on 9/11 to the news. It took me a few minutes to realize that it was actually real. Even to this very day, wheneve I look at a digital clock and the time is 9:11, it reminds me and I think of that day again.

I was 6 months pregnant with my son, who's now 5.
I woke up, saw on Yahoo News, plane into tower, I figured, eh, stupid drunk, went to sleep for another hour or so.
Got on the Internet a couple hours later and at this one forum I used to post on, people were saying "Turn on the TV," etc.
Kind of took a while for it to all sink in there....
