Both the Heat and Magic got swept 4-0, what's going on?

The magic lost because the pistons are simply much better. Offensively, they exploited the fact that Jameer Nelson is a tiny PG, and punished him inside with either Rip Hamilton or Chauney Billups. Dwight Howard was a non-factor for the first three games because Detroit has a great defensive frontline. Factor in playoff experience and teamwork and the magic had no chance.

The heat series is a little more complicated. Wade obviously wasn't at 100% and looked to try to do too much. It's hard to come back from an injury and play perfect basketball and mesh with teammates that have adjusted without you. (To a lesser extent, don't forget Kapono's injury either, for the first 60ish games, he was playing heavy minutes at starting SF). Furthermore, it's true that shaq, zo, payton, walker etc are getting a little old.

However, i personally believe the main reason is that Chicago is a much improved team from last year. They obviously added Wallace, but their big three (Hinrich, Gordon, and especially Deng) are very much improved from last year. Also, they have their two athletic rookies who thrive on defense. They could be a tough matchup for Detroit, or any team for that matter.

Orlando are a very young side (even with Grant Hill), many of their players had not made the playoffs before, they only just managed to sneak into the playoffs in the first place, it was a great learning experience for all their young guys, but it was always going to be tough running into a rejuvenated Detroit Pistons side. Detroit had all the answers to Orlandos weapons, Dwight Howard had Sheed, Webber, McDyess and Davis running at him from all angles. Grant Hill and Hedo had Tayshaun chasing them round and Chauncey was way too experienced for Nelson. Give them another season or two of experience before they break through.

As for Miami, well the injuries heading in to the playoffs didn't help their cause. However I think they lacked the desire that they had last year. The Bulls were a much improved side and effectively were tied with Cleveland for the 2nd best side in the East. The Heat struggled all season and had nothing to play for that they didn't achieve last year. I expect this loss will provide some inspiration for next year and I also expect next year to be Shaq's last so don't be surprised if Miami make a surge next year playing for Shaq!

well the Magic weren't a very good team to begin with and they played the great Pistons. I don't know what was wrong with the Heat that caused them to get swept by the Bulls.

The magic just was not good enough to beat the pistons.because the pistons have to much depth. And the heat got swept because they bulls were to young and athletic for them.

Simple. The Heat are an aging team and they couldn't stay healthy the whole year. On the other hand, the Magic are a young team (except for Grant Hill) and still lack playoff exposure.

the University of Florida Gators winning the NCAA championship help seem to help the universe to make the 2 NBA teams exit the playoff early. other wise if both the a nba and ncaa team won a champioship in the same year the Earth would quit spinning and the Cubs would win the world series.

Wow that is a complicated one. even as one hundred% wholesome although i might want to flow with team Texas. Tony is between the perfect pgs and between the hardest to guard, tmac even as wholesome is a beast, dirk will shoot over all people on team florida (except dwight,) Duncan even as thoroughly wholesome is per chance the perfect PF interior the game (him or garnett, per chance dirk), and yao is between the few centers tht can carry his own adverse to howard(even as wholesome.) also texas has a more advantageous positive bench with arguably perfect passer kidd, sixth guy cloth terry and the perfect protective participant in shane. The bench of flo. is a few distance too weak. BQ:extremely?easily i didnt. Why might want to he go away although.....he will be ignored.

Is there not something wrong when someone mentions Florida sports teams? With the exception of football, albeit small exception, Florida is a place for tourists, retires, sunbathers, and well crappy sports teams. Heat , Magic,,, Sheeesh! There Done!!! Devil Rays, Marlins, Bucks, Dolphins, please they all suck!!!
