I know about Habitat for Humanity, but what did Jimmy Carter do while in office that helped provide a positive future for America?

Middle East Peace, but because he was not re elected it fell apart.

He brokered Camp David peace accords between Israel and Egypt.
He made human rights part of US foreign policy.
He got the Panama Canal Treaty ratified
(many of his critics do not like the last 2)
He started the policy of deregulation which was continued under Reagan. (airlines 1978)
With inflation out of control he appointed Paul Volcker chairman for the Fed in 1979, who eventually got it under control by raising interest rates. The fed funds rate was over 17% in the summer of 1980 which hurt is chances for reelection in the fall.

i cant name specifics and he was a terrible president because he was honest, actually cared about people, did the right things ect. theres no room for someone like that in our government. they make the rest of them look like they are.
