I used a website that gave you words that rhymed with the word you put in and got starry, safari, and calamari.

Soggy came up under similar sounding words.

Tell your friend to not rely to much on words that eye rhyme with sorry.. but to concentrate on all words that have an ear rhyme.. such as auditory... and advisory... repitrorie.. repository.. ear rhymes are just as good as eye rhymes when writing a poem because they give you more flexibility.. Also.. with poetry.. one can take great creative license with the wording.. poetry is more about meter and rythym than about rhyming... so tell you friend to be creative but be sure to stay within the same meter.. or rythym ..good luck

I'm not sure if any words would fit a poem with a rhyme of the word 'sorry' in it because I've looked, but maybe one of the words might be useful:

There's also 'quarry'; that's a pretty good rhyme.

And tarry.

And the British word for truck, lorry.

I supposed a frequently skinned knee could be scarry.

And, as has already been mentioned in other answers, the night skies are often starry!

glory, gory, hoary, lorry, quarry, storey, story, Tory, (chicken) cacciatore

(Note that "tarry" does NOT rhyme -- the vowel in the next-to-last syllable is different. Also longer words ending in -ory --such as auditory [suggested above] may not work as well, because generally to main accent of the two words is supposed to match, and the main accent on "AU-ditory" is further back that that in "SOR-ry".)
