If they are there for more than a few weeks then yes it most likely would. It does depend on the size of the box and the number of fish you are talking about, but eventually even one baby guppy would get stunted in a breeder box.

The size of the tank DOES NOT stop a fish from growing. If its too small, the fish will die, but as long as you still feed the fish, it will continue to grow.
Its a myth that if you put a fish in a small tank, it wont grow. It will, too the point where the water gets too dirty, or its organs cant take anymore.
Dont worry about your fry, i've grown mollies/guppies/platies in those breeders for years, they can grow up to half an inch (probably more, i just let them out after that) in a breeder.

They should be kept in the breeder box until big enough not to be eaten by the other guppies. They do grow fast. Just make sure they are not a mouthfull for the others.

yes they will a breeders box is just for catching the fry if left in the box they will not grow to full size the length of time depends on its size and number of fry i never left mine in a box for than 1 week
