I havent heard that anywhere. Although you get whacked out theories like that all the time. There was one a few years ago about some asteroid entering the Earth's atmosphere and would kill us all in 5 years. Don't take it seriously. Theres another theory about florida floating off into the ocean, yes it's possible, but highly unlikely; especially in the span of 30 years.

this is even more incredible than the first question you asked.

first of all, there isn't that much money in the world available

secondly, the earths core is made of molten rock. that means if you put some beams or whatever down there, it would melt and become molten.

thirdly, the material to construct a machine to hold up the earth has to be made with something. that something is steel or cement which comes from the ground. therefore there is no net gain from taking something out of the ground, and then putting it back underground

They ain't going to sink it ain't possible. Yes they will have some water on them in a 100 or more years as the oceans warm up and physically expand.
government is not going to spend 100 trillion saving a bunch of states, it hasn't even got that much cash to waste on them. Have you been watching the "Core" film?
Don't thrust papers and don't thrust your teachers, their either suffering from that LSD they took in the 60's or suffering from the lack of state funding that results in idiots being produced in school.
Important note: Most of what you learn in Science class in school is Vastly out of date and outright wrong and will be no good to get you a proper science related job.

I heard Cali is suppose to eventually "break" off after an earthquake & sink into the ocean. But the government wouldn't admit to either even if they are true. Think off the chaos from the widespread migration (evacuation) from both coasts!
But if it is going to happen I wonder what type of "plan" do they have?!?

I've heard that Boston could go, because it's built on a bog!

I live farther inland than many in the East; still, I don't want to see any tragedies. I hope and pray that everyone is wrong.
