I've done a bit of Travelling in my time, but I can honestly say that Edinburgh is more beautiful than any other city I've been to. Its just a wonderful place to go for a walk and enjoy the scenery. Its full of wonderful Georgian architecture, combined with various monuments and green spaces, not to mention the imposing presence of Edinburgh Castle.

Edinburgh also has a fascinating history, complete with plenty of historical monuments and features (Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, St. Giles Cathedral, Holyrood House, the Camera Obscura, The Forth Bridge, e.t.c. e.tc.) along with plenty of bus and walking tours for the tourists. There are also plenty of more modern attractions like the new Scottish Parliament building, the Dynamic Earth Exhibition, Edinburgh Zoo, The Royal Botanic Gardens and museums and art galleries galore.

You never get bored here in Edinburgh. There always seems to be something new and interesting going on. Then in the summer we have the Edinburgh Festival, which is one of the most important arts festivals in the world. There's always something interesting going on during the festival in August. Everything from street entertainers to theatre and cinema, the beer festival and the Edinburgh Tattoo. In December, of course we have lots of interesting stuff going on in Prince's Street Gardens, such as the German Market, Fairs, Ice rinks and all sorts. Not to mention, of course - the biggest "Hogmanay" party in the world on New Years Eve (when it isn't called off for bad weather like it was last year).

The only downside of living in Edinburgh is that its quite expensive. The cost of living is relatively high compared to other parts of Scotland (no more than you would expect from any other capital city mind you). The fact that it is such a dynamic and interesting city in which to live, more than makes up for the expense though.

I almost forgot the nightlife. Edinburgh is a great place to go out and enjoy yourself, whether you want to go for a quiet drink with your friends or live it up in a night club.

I've been living in Edinburgh for 12 years now and I would quite happily live here for the rest of my life.

I'm a Scottish girl living in Brunei. It's very green and beautiful here, but is a little limited as a tourist destination as there are not very many great restaurants, and being a Muslim country, of course you can't buy alcohol. If you are into wildlife and jungle treks though, it's amazing. Living here, there are a lot of options of amazing places to go relatively cheaply. Flights within SE Asia are not expensive, and we're only a short flight from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Kota Kinabalu, Thailand and so on. Since we got here, I've been to Australia, China, Vietnam, Singapore, various parts of Borneo and peninsular Malaysia. This is a beautiful part of the world, and has something for everyone. If I were coming on holiday, I would do a night or two in Brunei and stay at the 6 star Empire Hotel, visit the water village of Kampung Ayer, and do a jungle walk in Temburong, then I'd head to Kota Kinabalu and stay at the Rasa Ria to see the baby orang utans in their sanctuary, then head to Sandakan and Turtle Island. Finally, I'd head to Singapore and stay overlooking the Marina in the Ritz-Carlton and do some shopping and eat at the restaurants on Clark Quay.

I live in Miami. It's actually a great place for tourists, but boring to live here. I definitely recommend people to visit because there's a lot of places to go. If you visit Miami, go to South Beach and go to Key West. Great places to see and also the downtown area is a nice place to hangout.
