I'n not a Bush backer but I'll help you out on this one...
I don't know if it would be wise to impeach Bush right now, it would proably only further exacerbate the chaos he has already created. Who wouldn't be involved in a trial agaisnt Bush? Rice, Rumsfeld, Chenney, Gonzales and many others would have to testify. What should be done is anything that will help lessen the escalating global isntability his administration is inflciting (I will say that I'm not really sure Congress is doing the best at this right now).
Bush has stated that there wasn't a connection between Iraq and 9/11.
Public Law 107-243 which authorized the invasion of Iraq proves that the War was illegal and an agenda aside from National Security.
His reelction is a frightening reflection of the mindset of the Average American.
I'd like to point out that Al Qaeda and Saddam hated eachother. Al Qaeda offered to oust Iraqi forces from Kuwait and have been targeting Saddam's regime ever since. Additionally Al Qaeda hates most governments not just the Western ones, hence assassiantions and assassination attempts of political leaders in countries such as Egypt, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq not to mention the repeated threats Al Qaeda has made against pretty much every government.
For those who find it difficult to believe that we invaded Iraq illegally check out these links,

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3118262.stm
So clearly there is no involvement between Iraq and Al Qaeda as Powell and Bush point out. So we're left with the "possability" of Iraq having weapons of mass destrcution. If our intelligence was certain about the existence of Iraq having WMD's why has the Bush administration not provided us with "credable" evidence that they had WMD's or at least WMD programs? We have no more proof of WMD's than we did before we invaded.

I feel that Bush needs to be impeached and removed from office, but that belief for me is based on his abuse of Americans' rights and will disregard for the law. In particular, the illegal wiretapping of Americans for much of the past five years. I feel his granting of legislative powers to himself via use of signing statements is further reason to remove him from the White House. His lying to Americans to justify the war is just extra proof for me of his incapability of leading this nation.
On the other hand, I don't actually believe leaving him in office for the near future will harm the country any more than he has already harmed the country, but initiating impeachment preceedings and distracting him from continuing work on cleaning up the mess he has made might leave us worse off. As much as I want to see President Bush removed from office, I'm not sure the now is the best time. And yes, that means that it might not be possible to impeach President Bush before the end of his term. Very unfortunate in my eyes, but possibly better than removing him now, I'm sad to say.

There is no such thing as a needless war.
Lets start off by saying that contrary to what you think...WAR IS GOOD. It provides jobs for more factories and the unemployment rates go down. What came out of WWI? The League of Nations (then substituted for United Nations) and MIAMI! What came out of WWII? The End of the Great Depression.
In Iraq we were able to get Sadam Hussein and other member of shiite extremist out of power, removing the Al-Qaeda group from power in Iraq. We were able to free the Iraqi people. If we would have your thinking then maybe slavery will still stand today. The Prime Minister of Iran has been quoted as saying that he wants to blow Israel off the planet, and that the US is next. If you thought 9-11 was bad just wait til this. The only way to remove terrorism is to attack them.

Canada's nice this time of year...
Unless you want some nukes up your rear, I think you should be pleading for a war in Iran (and North Korea for extra credit). And the only reason why one would be impeached is if he broke the law, of which Bush DIDN'T.

If you have the guts, take a look at the link and you tell me who should be in the oval office.
At least Bush lets people live and even write books who disagree with him like Mr. Tenet.
The war coming with Iran will be consecrated by Congress if it comes to be, not by Bush. Nice try anyway.

hi- i'm a huge clinton fan and extremely anti Bush yet... i'm not even waiting to "concede" that the conflict develop into about "oil" or "starting markets for wal mart and residential depot." dissimilar the posters were perfect that there have been way extra elementary thoughts to attempt this in the experience that they wanted... in reality, the neo cons believe that they can remake the international by the stress of the impressive defense force contained in the international. They theory that Hussein develop right into a probability and a ticking time bomb and, after how susceptible we appeared after 9/11- they theory they had to initiate appearing proactively with reference to those "rogue regimes." i develop into continuously hostile to the conflict as i presumed preemptive wars were unlawful- and also agreed w/ an Israeli excellent court justice who suggested, "each from time to time democracy's ought to strive against with one hand tied at the back of their back." besides, Bush and co, i believe, had extra or a lot less noble intentions contained in the invasion- besides the indisputable fact that I do believe he deliberately misled the rustic into conflict- besides the indisputable fact that i imagine he theory that develop into an "end justifies the skill" scenario. through ways- human beings, lay off Clinton. The OP wasn't even speaking about him or claiming that he develop right into a Clinton fan or something. it really is what occurs to rational political discourse, those days, and it kills it. And, btw, mendacity about having an affair w/ an intern is lots diverse from mendacity about Iraq receiving enriched uranium from Niger in order to get Congress to authorize a conflict...

If we are "Bush backers" we obviously don't think he should be impeached.
