At first, before dad put his hands on it, the machine would fill the machine but the coil in the middle would not junction/turn; after the cloths would just sit there, the machine would spin. Everything was normal except the coil. But after dad TRIED to fix it; it's all in parts....now NONE of the cycles work, NONE, no filling, no spinning, just a empty tank, lol. Can anyone tell me how to fix it, give me a website to fix it, or the blueprints to fix it; ANYTHING that will fix this. By the way, the washer is a Maytag Performa. Thanks!

Find your yellow pages and look for an applicance serviceman. Here is one case where a little knowledge is NOT a good thing.

Hire a professional.

they have info on how to change parts. Don;t know if it will be enough to help you oout unless you have some mechanical skills to start with. If you do then you may have a chance with the diagrams. God Luck

You can get a manual to repair it at your appliance parts store or at the library.

If you can't afford a new machine, consider a good used one.
