I had a third round of interviews with a company on Friday, and right before one of them started, I received a call from HR telling me that high level meeting was forcing my second interview to be cancelled (I was flown from out of state for this, btw). The HR person said to call her on Monday (this was Friday) to discuss feedback. What could this mean? Positive or negative? I'm thinking it is positive, but I need reassurance.

If it is anything like the company I work at, the meeting had nothing to do with the hiring process. The hiring manager (or whomever was interviewing you) got called into a can't-wait meeting. The one piece of good news that I can see there is that the person that is going to participate in your interview is the kind of person that gets called to high-level meetings. At least they aren't passing off your interview to a flunky!

You may want to ask about the high-level meeting you have your interview. Tell them you are curious about the process in the new company. It is up to you and your personality. It may come off as "Hey, this person is really interested" or "Hey, this person is nosy!"

In the end, don't dwell on it too much. Call the HR rep when they said to, and ask for a phone interview instead of trying to coordinate flight schedules again.

Good Luck!

There is nothing to dictate that its a negative so don't think too much about it.
