You might want to discuss the monetary policies of Federal Reserve Board chairman Ben Bernanke vs those of the previous chairman Alan Greenspan and how these policy changes have effected the recent economy and the projected long term effects.

As a future stock buyer/owner, look at some companies that facilitates buying and owning stock. Do a compare/contrast between three or four of the leading companies (E-trade, Scottrade, Barrons, etc). There are hundreds of companies to choose from, so maybe find companies that specialize in (or work exclusively with) on-line accounts.

Some items to compare/contrast:
Fee Structures
Their company strategies (look in consecutive annual reports for letters from the CEOs).
Net worth/shareholder equity.

Good Luck

This statement generally means that you need to compare your current company's results with the goals the company set previously (often last year). For example, if your company said they would make $1 million in profit, how close are they to achieving this goal?
