I am a very pale skinned girl with green eyes that sometimes turn grey and brown hair. Right now I only wear black eyeliner and mascara, but I don't like it. I'm trying to find a way to change it. I can never find the kind of make up I want or the kind that is suggested to me and I don't have the money to get a cosmetologist or anyone else to recommend anything for me or go to a salon. I'm freaking stuck. Any help?

The most important factor in choosing makeup colors is determining your skin tone. You want colors that match your skin tone. Here's how to determine your skin tone:

Warm skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.
2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.

Cool skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.
2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.

A few suggestions:

1) Dark brown eyeliner tight against the upper lash line.

2) Dark brown/black mascara for daytime. Black for evening.

3) Soft, sheer champagne would be pretty.

4) A your lips but better sheer lipstick or gloss. ex) Revlon Super Lustrous Gloss in Cherries in the Glow

Inexpensive makeup brands:
1) L'Oreal for mascara
2) NYX, Revlon, L'Oreal for eye shadow
3) Revlon for lipsticks & lip glosses - avoid Moon Drops formula or Rimmel

To save money, I look at beauty product reviews on makeupalley.com before I buy. It's a free membership site w/ consumer to consumer reviews of all sorty of beauty products organized by function & brand.

Wear pale pink, light to medium pinkish-brown and medium purple shades of eye shadow. Apply black or clear mascara. Wear clear gloss or a sheer pink or peach. A glittery pink eye shadow all over lids combined with one to two coats of black mascara will look gorgeous for special evenings. Keep lips sheer and light with glittery clear or beige gloss.

These colors are good for people with pale skin and green eyes.

I have brown eyes and I could never really find anything that suited them until I bought that stuff from Almay. They have mascara, liner, and eye shadow, that is especially made for your eyes. For my brown, I bought the eye shadow for brown and it gave me purple eye liner and brown mascara, it really made a difference. Each is sold seperatley, so since your eyes change maybe you could get some green and some brown. Each retails for $5, which is kind of expensive, but it is worth it. Good Luck!

hmm i think you should try brown eyeliner and mascara. The black eyeliner might be to dark for your skin. Which would make your eyes too dark.

you should try this almay eye shadow, there are a few different kinds but you get the color according to your eye\color. The green is really pretty and if you put it on correctly you can wear it everyday. Its amazing i love it!

Think about colors you wear - do you get alot of compliments when you wear warm colors, like gold, or coral?

If you do, go for makeup colors in that group. corals, golds, bronze, pinks, colors like that.

If you get more compliments in blue, and green, and cooler colors, then look for colors like that for your makeup.

Although, especially in summer time, gold is a color that you pretty much can't go wrong with - whether it's on your eyes, lips or nails. Gold is good!
