There isn't enough being done about it. The UN refuses to declare it a Genocide. The US declared it a genocide over a year ago but the isn't much we can do without the UN. China who has veto power in the UN won't let any sanctions pass that can help end the Genocide. Why? Because China owns 40% of the oil in Darfur! Its all about $$$! 70% of the money that the Sudanese government makes from their oil goes toward funding their militia that is raping and murdering innocent men, women, and children.
The US does not conduct anymore trade with Sudan but there is no legislation stopping states from investing in Sudanese stock. Many states are passing divestment legislation that forbids state funds from being invested in Sudanese stock and many major corporations are divesting as well. But some states, public universities, and companies are not divesting because once again its all about $$$! Right now there is a bill in committee that would give aid to states who do divest.

What you can do is write or call your state senators and representatives and tell them to co sponsor the bill.
If your state has not divested write to your Governor and request that your state divest.
Don't conduct business with companies whom you know invest in PetroChina or other companies who fund the genocide, including Fidelity and Berkshire Hathaway. Don't invest in their stocks, or conduct business with any of their affiliates.

it is really ashame how the world turns their back on the cradle of man. Especially when everyone wears diamonds on their fingers and diamonds on their necks. This in itself should remind everyone about what is going on in Africa. But it is sad to say that the oil, gold, diamonds, gems, jewels, chocolate, ivory and the other many expensive things that come from Africa, doesn't benefit them at all. For all you racist that want to believe it is their fault, when the smoke clears only one fact can be drawn. The exploitation of Africa by all of the countries of the world, it should be taken care of by everyone that benefits. I believe all nations should have to pay a tax directly to Africa for everything they buy. this shoud help alleviate the current situation. Aren't we our brothers keeper?

Because there is no oil involved.I have not heard of this but if something like this is true this is something that I ,and I would assume the rest of the country could go to war over, would not mind going to war over.Hell I would even enlist.Hopefully our new president will look into it.

Besides fighting a real enemy and not a military doctrine (terrorism) might be nice for a change.

When the African Union decides to step up and stop it they will.
Right now they apparently don't give a crap. It could have ended long ago.
