Being democrat doesn't mean you are pro abortion.
Being pro choice doesn't mean you are pro abortion.

So how many procedures have you witnessed? I mean have you actually seen this for yourself? Or is there evidence to back it up by a non-partisan group? Honestly curious here...

I'm not democrat or republican. And I'm pro choice because I don't feel that anyone else has the right to tell me what I can or cannot do with my own body. The consequences of those actions are mine to bear.

Judge not, lest ye be judged....

Who is this they? do you really know Democrats I would be safe in saying that there are some democrats that are pro life,. and some pro abortion. You do not understand that a Democrat can think and say what they want. We democrats don't fall into neat little categories. And the party will accept you for being yourself. I have been to two Republican caucuses. And everybody in that room had the same opinions , They were far from Christian in their disdain for opinions other than their own. I was never so disappointed in a group of people, who's closed minded views were the only ones given. I have been to every
Iowa democratic caucus since the 1980 Republican caucus. We argue ,We share a variety of views and when it comes time to leave , you feel good about our democracy , because it was practiced at those caucuses

There is much much more to the matter of respect for human life than abortion. Yes, be pro-life, but don't limit your pro-life stand to those still in the womb.

Democrats tend to be pro-choice: not that they love abortion, but that they think a woman and her doctor should decide for themselves on a case-by-case basis. Perhaps they are wrong, but Republicans--particularly Far-Right Republicans--can be dead wrong when it comes to other aspects of respecting life, such as war, the death penalty, the environment, health care, fair employment practices/economic justice, and helping the poor.

Democrats respect life when they want a livable environment for all humans, animals, and plants. Democrats respect life when they don't want soldiers and civilians dying in an unjust war. Democrats respect life when they question the justice of the death penalty--which I don't think Jesus advocated (think Romans 8 and the adulterous woman). Democrats respect life when they want adequate health care for all people. Democrats respect life when they want workers to earn a living wage.

BTW, abortion has gone UP in the USA since GWBush took over. Why? Because downsizing, outsourcing, and other economic injustices create unstable working conditions and job insecurity and out-and-out unemployment. Fewer women believe they can raise a baby when they are economically strapped.

What Jesus said to the Pharisees, I say to those antiabortionists who are economically unjust: "You lay heavy burden's on men's (or women's) shoulders, and don't lift a finger to help them carry those burdens."

Yes, the life of a mother when it's endangered (if she chooses to have the abortion), AND, hopefully, the life of a fetus after it has developed for several months. The above people are correct in saying that the democratic party has its moderate side too. I hate politics but lean towards the democrats because of other issues.

I am a democrat and I have nothing but respect for human life. I would love to dedicate my life to helping others in our country as well as the third world have acess to clean water, shelter, and medicinal supplies that they need. I want to open woman's clinics in Africa, to educate them about AIDS, and give them a safe haven from rape and abuse. And, yes I am pro-choice. But I am not 'SO pro-choice.' Abortion is a hard choice to make for every mother. And every woman has her own reasons. I just respect her choice to do so.

Not all are that liberal. You see, while I am a democrat, I am a conservative democrat and I don't believe in abortion, except when the mothers life is in danger, incest or rape. I don't under any circumstance believe in partial birth abortions.

All the political parties have their extreme sides. The far left liberals, the far right conservatives and the middle of the roaders. So, before throwing rocks, make sure you identify the right segment of a political party.

Watch what you say before it comes out your mouth and actually know what your talking about. Don't generalize a whole group of people that is just ignorant. My family are democrats and we are 100% pro-life, so like I said know what your talking about and then say something. I don't believe in abortion.

I dont think any of the government have any respect for human life because they supposedly have power over what we think or don't think. Babies in the womb, do feel pain, if they have a heartbeat then who is to say that they can't feel a thing. My personal opinion, its still murdering a child that is innocent in the individual situation but as a person, I can't tell anyone what to do. They make their decision whether we are for it or against it.

um not all dems are pro-choice dingbat. and you're full of it. The Silent Scream was fake. a fetus is not capable of feeling pain until 26 weeks, which is beyond the cut-off for abortions. why don't you try doing REAL research that doesn't involve pro-life propaganda sites?

When I read some of the crap on yahoo answers, I think abortion might not be such a bad idea. Maybe we could have avoided some of these idiots.
