You should use 3M Notebook Screen Cleaning Wipes. I use it for my laptop screen, and it cleans it nicely. You shouldn't use Windex or Rubbing Alcohol for your monitor. It will not clean it nicely.

Regardless to opinion, you can use Windex wipes, BUT first you must turn the power off.
Shutdown the computer, and any of the common wipes will work just fine.

If you leave the power on and clean the screen, you have a very good chance of damaging the screen.

Actually.... if you use any paper products to clean it, be careful to be VERY gentle. Paper is made of wood and the fiber can scratch the plastic screen if you are too rough.

I use eye glass cleaners. (soft cloth that they give you at the eye glass store) For solutions, I use alcohol. (rubbing alcohol)

do not use a paper towel. these people are not correct. you can use one but be prepared to see tiny scatch marks and smudge marks. the proper way is to use micro-fiber towels. you can get these anywhere. they also make cleaners for special screans but that is not necessary. if you dont want to get something like that then use a tissue or something with as soft of a surface area as possible.

most people use an alcohol wipe or a tiny amount of water or windex. don't flood the screen enough to run into the bottom.

Do NOT use windex.
use soapy water.
put it on the cloth/towel first.
make sure its a cloth that wont scratch it.
