I was able to lose 47 pounds in four months on Nutrisystem. I would have kept losing but I found out I was pregnant. That was just eating healthy fruits and veggies with their prepared foods and drinking nothing but water. I didn't do any exercise though. I don't know if you can get to your 60 pound goal in that time, but you'd definately be on your way and wind up in much better shape before your surgery. Good luck.

It's feasible to lose 2-3 pounds a week (not all weeks will be that high though)...so it will take some major dedication and strict dieting to lose that much in less than 4 months.....most docs dont expect that out of people that quickly....

You can do it, you can do it, you can do it. You have four months to drop 60 pounds. It works out to about 15 pounds per month. Start with fluids, and try to get close to the sixty pound mark. Forty to fifty pounds would be a healthier weight loss in this time frame.

You can do it if you're commited to it. After I had my son, I lost weight very fast by working out 2 times a day 5 times a week and by sticking to a diet of 2400 calories.

That's an average loss of almost 4 lbs per week - that's a pretty remarkable weight loss to sustain over a long period of time.
How much do you weigh now and how tall are you?

That seems a bit extreme and unhealthy. I know Weight Watchers works best because it teaches you how to eat right. But a doctor telling you to lose it that length of time...I thought they were the ones to promote safe dieting. Does he want you to starve yourself??
