I think you are missing a category. That adds up to 80%. What position is the other 20% supposed to be in?

In order to calculate an overall grade, you need to know how the missing 20% is to be calculated. In other words there should be four factors to weigh-up rather than the three you mention (20+10+50 does not make 100).

If for instance the missing factor was punctuality and the score awarded on that factor was 60, then the weight given to this factor would be 20% of 60, which is 12. When you have discovered the fourth factor you will know which score to multiply by which weight. The outcomes for each of the four factors should be added together. If you were so smart that you scored 90 on each factor for instance and they were each weighted at 25% the calculations would be
(90x0.25) + (90x0.25) + (90x0.25) + (90x0.25) = 90.

Your question is missing two parts;
1. The scores were out of what?
2. If the scores were respectively, what was the 75 for?...You only mention 3 topics

This question is impossible to solve...You are missing the other 20% of the grade.

Please fix this before we answer this question :P

However, I think I know how to solve this anyways...
assuming the grades are out of 100 pts each, and assuming the 75 goes to the missing category...
(80/100) x .2 = .16
(70/100) x .1 = .07
(90/100) x .5 = .45
(75/100) x .2 = .15
.16+.07+.45+.15 = .83 x 100 = 83%

Hope this helps!!

you just add 80,70,90, and 75 together and divide by how many numbers u added together so in this case there r 4 numbers so u add them all up and divide by 4 and thats how u find the average
