when you are out to dinner and the people at the next table start talking with you as if you were at home???? It happens all the time and others look at you as if you are all a little strange....lol...does it happen to you or am I strange?

I don't mind it if people want to talk to us. We have cute kids, so we get a lot of people that will say something once in a while. What I hate is when I'm trying to keep my kids seated at our table and trying to get them to eat their meal and I know people can hear me saying "turn around and eat, baby.." and they continue trying to distract her or make her laugh. Yes, she's cute. But I also just paid for her meal and would like her to eat it before it gets cold. I appreciate the compliment of you gushing over my child and all, and I understand she's just a kid- but please have some respect for me as a mother and know when to stop so she'll stop.

People always talk to my mom... I am just used to all of that... but I am quite the opposite of her... so, you are not strange...

I used to date a woman who was always the instigator of that. I have mixed feelings about it. Mostly it was fun but I suspect she escapes intimacy with it.

Yes, that would happen when my x and I would dine out. He loved it, but I wasn't as happy about it.
