Ok im 15 and a 180 average bowler. Lately i simply ... suck. i havent made my average in 9 games. I bowl 2 leagues and used to 5 days a week but now its 2 or 3. but anyway, i have no motivation to bowl i go into it knowing im going too loose( i was never like that i was always a feirce competitor) i am better known on my leagues for being a good bowler and having charisma. and lately it feels like everyshot is different, its not even like the lane conditions are bad, infact they are pretty good. so yea to break down my problem even more, its not like the strikes arent there, some are, slowly they are lessening and i am getting horrible breaks Including everything from seemingly impossible splits to missing a 10 or 6-10 by a hair. so here it goes this is what i would like answered.
1. How do i break this slump?
2. what can i do to get myself mentally back in order?
3. and any other personal suggestions with past expriences.

You're not alone. I slump toward the end of every winter league season. I think it's just burnout to be honest with you. Take the summer off and you'll come back with the desire you've been missing.

As far as your shot, I have the same thing happen. There's a shot out there, but just can't make it work even though there's no reason for it. Different lines don't help because you've already identified the shot and know full well how to approach the shot, but just can't seem to make it happen.

I have no real answer other than I really think you're victim of burnout. Just wanted to let you know that you're not alone, and I go through the same thing at about the same time every year.

1. Just enjoy the game, don't take it so seriously.
2. Relax, mentally.
3. You could find a book and re ad "Bowling for Dummies" Practice makes perfect in just about anything.
