you would have to check whether you have pop or imap access on our email account and set outlook to use that instead. You can still then access email via squirrelmail or outlook

SquirrelMail is an open-source webmail application used by a lot of Internet companies around the world. Think of it like Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, Gmail, etc.

Outlook is a traditional email client. You would use this instead of SquirrelMail. You'll need to know the SMTP and POP3 servers for your email domain name.

Many people use Outlook/Outlook Express while they're home, and use SquirrelMail when travelling. They compliment each other, but you likely find Outlook is more full-featured than any webmail.

Never heard of it.

As you have a Yahoo account, why not just use that?
