How about "here comes the sun" by the beatles or"Waiting for a star to fall"by boy meets girl or"A summer song" by Chad and Jeremy or"Rhymes and Reason" by John Denver or maybe "Stop and smell the Roses" by Mac Davis

1- I Never Promised You A Rose Garden by Lynn Anderson
2- The Rose by Bette Midler
3- What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong
4- How The Garden Grows by Michael Franks (Passionfruit CD)
5- Sunshine On My Shoulder by John Denver
6- Sunflower by Glen Miller

My daughter dedicated a candle to our neighbors since they are like family and she played "The People In Your Neighborhood" from Sesame Street. That was the best candle of the night because her speech about them was touching and then watching all these old people walking up to the dance floor to light the candle to a Sesame Street song, that was hysterical. So, here are a few song titles, if you do decide to go that route:

-Flowers and Rainbows by Bumblemen (Bumblemen, Bumblemen, Bumblemen CD)
-Green Grass Grows by Kidzup Production, Inc. (Kindergarten Song CD) or by The Countdown Kids - (Silly Songs CD) this is the song that says "and the green grass grows all around, all around)
-Flowers and Rainbows by Bumblemen (Bumblemen Bumblemen Bumblemen album) this is a funny one, also.

Happy 16 Birthday!

You could use the first verse and the chorus from "Green, Green Grass of Home."

"Green Green Grass Of Home"

The old home town looks the same as I step down from the train,
and there to meet me is my Mama and Papa.
Down the road I look and there runs Mary hair of gold and lips like cherries.
It's good to touch the green, green grass of home.
Yes, they'll all come to meet me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly.
It's good to touch the green, green grass of home.
The old house is still standing tho' the paint is cracked and dry,
and there's that old oak tree I used to play on.

Down the lane I walk with my sweet Mary, hair of gold and lips like cherries.
It's good to touch the green, green grass of home.
Yes, they'll all come to meet me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly.
It's good to touch the green, green grass of home.

Just use the first verse and chorus. Don't use the whole song, as the singer realizes that he's only been dreaming while he is sleeping his last night in prison before his execution.

I THINK IT IS CALLED THE GARDEN SONG...
Maybe some one can give me the author, I think it is Paul Stukey but I am not sure.

Inch by inch, row by row, come and watch my garden garden grow, gonna mulch it deep and low, gonna make it fertile ground.
Inch by inch row by row, Please bless these seeds I sow, Please keep them safe below "till the rain comes tumbling down.

I hope some one remembers these lines and gives you the name of the song, it is a wonderful tribute to us gardeners, farmers, and landscapers every were!
