more depth and variety in their albums - megadeth's speed metal thing became a parody of itself and dave mustane (who of course left metallica after debutu album kill em all' to form megadeth) affected a chipmunk style to keep up.
james hetfield of metallica was warned by doctors to change his gruff vocal style or he'd lose his voice. hence the gentler black album 'singing' style. since then they've gone a bit lame. it's either money or maturity, but the tunes are wet.
lars ulrich (metallica drummer) is famous for suing downloaders (not very rock and roll).
i also think metallica's artwork by pushead was far superior to the, admittedly impressive, vic rattlehead stuff.

Megadeath. Especially their early stuff, like So Far, So good and Peace Sells. Those were amazing. Metallica is overrated.

I'd pick Metallica but I think Dave Mustaine from Megadeath is a better guitarist, they should have never kick him out of the band years ago.

i like megadeath but i'm not a big fan !
