Affect your mind? Are you talking about the actual seduction or are you talking about the desire? Not knowing which road to take here. :) I will tell you what I felt, coping with out sex for long periods of time when my husband divorced me 2 years ago. If you are use to a active sex life then, you tend to think about it a lot, in the beginning and the middle and there after. Eventually, if you don't get back in to the dating scene, you learn to control your sexual thoughts and urges, or do what 90 percent of what all woman (married, single, separated and divorced do.) You buy a vibrator. I work for the airlines, and honey let me tell you, when we use to have to do bag checks, you would be shocked to what I found in the business class, mother types, and even grandma's bag. These woman were ready for anything, if you get my drift. And not a one blushed when we pulled these devices out to be sure they were not smuggling something else in that bag. And yes, sex does affect the mind. It begins with messages being sent to the brain. Most people will argue with me that sex is only physical but I know that is not the case. So you do what you have to do. We are lucky to be apart of this generation and feel free to talk about these things. We have come a long way Babee!!! :)

Your second question is 100 % correct and i have the evidence to that effect. This surely affect mind as well as body at boh physical and emotional level.
I have known more than 9 cases of this category. Sex less periods are very very disrubing and dangerous given the current time when majority are working and nothing is hidden with lots and lots of exposure so better to find a way out convinient to one for this.

It does happen that a 40+ woman might be without a partner.

well if some body has stayed single for such a long period then they should have got used to it or must have developed some ways to satisfy the sexual desires.this must not effect the mind.
