Spousal abuse and domestic violence are the same thing. Both are wrong, both are illegal, both need to be stopped.

One way to know is by the way it makes the person feel. If the person feels pain, either physically or emotionally, it is abuse. A spouse should be one of your best friends who protects you from the world. There is no "plain old fun domestic violence!" To me, that sounds like a very immature person who might even think there is. Spousal abuse cannot be tolerated. A spouse should be a comfort and a joy to be around.

Domestic violence is abuse. And it's not fun to get beat on by your husband or boyfriend every day and have to worry about him beating on your children.

You must have been dropped on your head as a baby if you consider "abuse" and "domestic violence" fun.
Shame on you! People who have suffered these things and are reading your post are definitively NOT laughing, if that is what you think.

It stops when the one getting dumped on stops laughing. Then, weeks later, I'd surprise the perpetrator with a slap down the middle of the back with a belt and put a gun in the perpetrators face demanding the perpetrator leave the premises immediately.
this is under the premise that the prepetrator has been warned to stop the willy-nillying. lol

It will depend on the person, some chicks cry wolf often to get attention. I personally think that is the worst thing a chick can do.
Personally I draw the line at hitting. But what sort of hitting also Was it in anger? Did he seem to have lost control?
The answer can vary
